Visit Us in Saariselkä
It’s no wonder you want to come to Mettäbaari — it’s where humans (+pets and wild animals) feel right at home! Even though we are in the forest, it's just a 2 km walk (or ski) from the Saariselkä center.
We have made these instructions so you won’t get lost on the way.

By SKis / FOOT / BIKE
From Saariselkä, you can reach us via the main ski trail. The distance from the trailhead (Lutontie) to Laanila is exactly 2 kilometres. The upper gate of Mettäbaari will appear on your left.

Walking or cycling
Follow the same route — in winter there’s a walking path running alongside the ski trail, and you can cycle on it as well.
By CAR
If you’re arriving by car, drive south from Saariselkä, turn onto Laanilantie, and from there turn toward Luttorinne. After the ski bridge, take the first left into the parking area. From the parking lot, a gravel road (Hirvaspirtientie) begins — follow it for about 300 meters and you’re there!
